Yin Yoga

PASSIVE & RELAXING

Yin Yoga softens and makes supple - both in body and mind.

Yin Yoga is a passive form of yoga. Passive means that you do not exert active muscle tension during the poses. Each position is taken and supported in such a way that complete release is possible. The asanas in Yin Yoga primarily aim to reach the fascial tissue and dissolve tensions and adhesions through prolonged, relaxed holding. Furthermore, a Yin Yoga practice also calms the mind significantly. Through the long holding of positions supported by bolsters, cushions, blocks, and blankets, as well as through its energetic effects, your stress is reduced, and you come into contact with subconscious, hidden emotions.

Additionally, the exercises in Yin Yoga aim to allow your "Chi," or life energy in the meridians (energy pathways), to flow freely again. Accordingly, Yin Yoga is closely intertwined with TCM, Traditional Chinese Medicine. The term "Yin" in Yin Yoga refers to the opposites of Yin and Yang: Yin represents the state of rest, while Yang reflects activity. In yoga theory, this is mirrored by Ida—the female aspect, the lunar energy—and Pingala—the male aspect, the solar energy. Our society today is heavily driven by activity. Male aspects such as activity, stress, logic, physicality, aggressiveness, boldness, and extroversion outweigh the female aspects like passivity, silence, creativity, intuition, caution, introversion, and inwardness.

With Yin Yoga, you can prevent and reduce stress, reconnect with deeper emotions, harmonize the body, and promote flexibility.

SUP Yoga

REFRESHINGLY DIFFERENT

SUP Yoga trains concentration, trust, balance, and strengthens the deep muscles.

Experience yoga in a whole new way with SUP Yoga! On the board, the calming effect of the water combines with the holistic nature of yoga. In the class, you can expect flowing yoga sequences that harmoniously integrate breathing exercises, meditation, relaxation, strengthening, and stretching—all on a stand-up paddleboard (SUP). This particularly challenges and strengthens your balance.

Yoga on the SUP is an intense yet meditative experience. The instability of the board makes every movement a challenge, bringing you closer to your inner balance. You not only strengthen your body but also sharpen your concentration and mindfulness.

Unlike on a solid yoga mat, you feel the gentle rocking of the water beneath you on the SUP. This intensifies each asana and challenges your deep muscles and balance even more. As a result, the exercises become more demanding but also more effective, as you are constantly working against the movement of the water.
