Meditation

CALMING THE MIND

Meditation is a powerful tool that trains your mindfulness, sharpens concentration, enhances mental strength, and helps you connect better with yourself.

There are many different techniques; feel free to check my glossary for more information. Meditation is not only a part of my gentle and dynamic yoga classes, but I also offer meditation as a separate course. Especially in private sessions, it can be interesting to find the meditation practice that suits you best.

 

In my regular yoga classes, we practice various meditation techniques, mostly in a seated meditation position. Additionally, I occasionally offer meditation courses, such as the more dynamic Osho meditations.

Yoga Nidra

THE YOGIC SLEEP

Yoga Nidra, Yoga Nidra, also known as "the yogic sleep," is a form of meditative deep relaxation. In this practice, the participant achieves a stimulation of the brain through a rotation of consciousness, leading to deep relaxation, release, and mental clarity.

 

As such, Yoga Nidra is incredibly healing. Most diseases today arise from constant tension and chronic stress in our performance-oriented society. In most people, the sympathetic nervous system is permanently activated—the part of the brain that triggers the fight-or-flight response. We counteract this with Yoga Nidra, learning relaxation, body awareness, and concentration.

 

Yoga Nidra is suitable for everyone—it is fundamentally free of movement. Sometimes gentle, simple asanas are performed as preparation to help the body and mind find relaxation more easily.
